Lily and I loved playing through this title in local coop. It's actually really difficult to find xbox 360 games that can be enjoyed by a child and an adult. I liked it as much as the Lego series. Though the wii is still the winner for family gameplay. We started playing UA1 after this, and sent it back after 20 minutes because of the frustrating reasons that you mentioned.

@Michael

Eventually, you either pop the balloon or untie it and let the air out if you need/want to reuse it. Popping it is generally easier. One of the tricks there is not letting the balloon get too much warmer or colder after starting the mache, otherwise the balloon will expand and rip through the wet paper.

I believe we cut the holes to an appropriate size after painting, just so we could see how everything looked before doing anything drastic with a scissors.

What we did for wiring was some thin metal rod from home depot that we bent and duct taped to the inside of the head, and then duct taped to the top of some hard-hats.

@Garrett : how much money are you going to pay me? :)

i randomly came across your site while searching for bobble head ideas, ive always wanted to make one and when i came across urs i really liked it.
i have a few questions.
-what happens to the balloon after you apply the paper mache?
-do i cut a hole in the bottom after painting?

Hey,
Great job on the bobble head. It looks really professional. Do you make costumes for other people. It looks like it took a lot of time.
and patience.
Actually, I went to Providence on Halloween day to 'Bruna Costumes'.
I got a giant penis costume. It was made by them. They make paper mache costumes too. You should check out the penis. I won first price of 1000..at foxwoods halloween party. It had rubber testicles and there was a hole in the top so you can put whipped cream coming out of the top or water or whatever.
It is not on their website. You have to ask . They keep it hidden in the cellar.

have had my marvel for about 6 months. Probally put 3000 rounds though it. CCI and Thunderbolt are about the only ammo that will feed with reliability. CCI is better but about $2.00 per hundred more. Can shoot other brands as long as you don't mind a single shot gun..Accuracy is as good as I can hold at age 74. Unit sets on an old Springfield that is fitted with a Barstow barrel. IN 45 it is a tack driver. Really enjoy shooting it but reliability is an issue I am not used to dealing with.

I shoot 50 foot Bullseye with my Marvel. It is very accurate and reliable with CCI Standard velocity ammo. I keep it well lubed with CLP about three drops along the breech face, extractor slide rails every 50/60 rounds, and a quick tooth brush on the breech face.
The Marvel is working better then my old High Standard.

I have an exact same one too and absolutely love it. Starts to jam from the crud after about 40 or 50 rounds, but hey, a quick spray and i'm back in business, and the accuracy is SICK

I just got my Marvel Unit 1 yesterday and it won\'t extract the first round. The extractor is not flush on a closed slide. It protrudes toward the front, which seems to keep it from hooking the shell when cycling. I won\'t be able to contact Marvel for a while, so I\'m looking for help elsewhere... Any advice?

You must not have noticed, I bring my laptop everywhere. While you're focused on killing the enemy, I'm usually browsing the forums. Oh, and I live to spray and pray. I'm firing at someone while I write this comment!
Cover me, I'm reloading!!
Some articles report my apparent lack of proficiency. That irritates me, because I'm a professional! Oh, hold on....
Grenade!!!
Phew, I think someone killed whoever was firing at us.
Target neutralized!

The conversion is trivial! You just take the slide off like you were going to do a standard cleaning, and put the conversion on instead.
it has a special slide release, and instead of having the standard "push in" plug, its got a little bolt there that tightens against the slide release, locking the whole thing down.

Basicly, if you can clean a 1911 (not detailed strip, just field strip), you can handle the conversion.

The cheaper ammo i'm talking about is like that federal bulk pack/etc, where you get like a brick of 500 rounds. Depending on the shape/coating of the actual bullet i had issues. some of those have a smooth shape, others have little ridges or texture that made them not very reliable. Never tried winchester wildcats, but from the picture @ midwayusa http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=737386
i'd say they might give you trouble because of the shape of the bullet. that little "ridge" area might get caught up on the feed ramp?

i've been using mini-mags almost exclusively: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=225774&t=11082005
they have a similar shape, but are copper jacketed and pretty smooth.

Basicly, if you can clean a 1911 (not detailed strip, just field strip), you can handle the conversion.

The cheaper ammo i’m talking about is like that federal bulk pack/etc, where you get like a brick of 500 rounds. Depending on the shape/coating of the actual bullet i had issues. some of those have a smooth shape, others have little ridges or texture that made them not very reliable. Never tried winchester wildcats, but from the picture @ midwayusa http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=737386
i’d say they might give you trouble because of the shape of the bullet. that little “ridge” area might get caught up on the feed ramp?

i’ve been using mini-mags almost exclusively: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=225774&t=11082005
they have a similar shape, but are copper jacketed and pretty smooth.
