Carbon Fiber Madness!

I got a whole bunch of CF stuff lately (mostly through Lextasy.com) that i just HAD to put in! who doesn’t like carbon fiber? It does look really good on the GGP body color, thats fo-sho!

Follow the link for the pics and the crazy story of how a “fragile” sticker on a box virtually guarantees that the box will be destroyed during shipping!

Carbon Fiber Madness!

The Grill

This took a little longer than i expected, because of some shipping “issues” that came up with UPS. apparently, they don’t like it when you ship boxes that say FedEx through UPS:

Everything was insured, so all was well, i just had to wait a LITTLE while longer!

The Grill Take 2!

tonight i saw another UPS package at the door. This time it wasn’t a Fedex box shipped UPS, but a USPS box shipped UPS. maybe it turned out a little better this time? Maybe not!

But apparently this box just got smashed in all the empty spaces!
The grill came out fine! WOO HOO!

Lets see it on the car, baby!

before and after, looking good! now i gotta move or paint the horns!

The Intake!

Lextasy gave me a kick ass deal on the CF intake as I already had the PLP setup, so i really only needed the tube.
This was in the same box as the first grill. Thankfully at least one thing in the box made it through intact!

Compare and contrast of the Lextasy CF intake tube and the PLP one.

Note that the Lextasy one doesn’t have the connector on it for the breather tube from the engine, but it does come with a seperate breather filter that connects where the other end of the tube would be. I decided to keep the breather tube design that the other intakes keep, so i needed to put a connection in the CF tube. you can see the silver dot in one of the pics above where i wanted to drill the hole.

There you can see the brass nipple i put in. The end of the nipple is threaded, so i cut off all but the very end of the threads, put some high temp epoxy on it, and screwed it in. All done!

Lets see it on the car!

Before and after

But wait, there’s more!

The Pillars!

I got these CF door pillar sticker thingies a LONG time ago off ebay, but hadn’t made up my mind if i was going to put them on or not. I decided, hey, what the hell. if they look bad, i can take em off!

I think they look pretty good! But i don’t know if i’ll ever be able to get them off!!
